I lived through this once and let me tell you...once was quite enough. Overalls in general don't offend me - although you'll never catch me in a pair because they are really unflattering and make me look like a 12 year old farm child. But re-living the one strap down is where I really draw the line. I did this in 6th grade, I am kind of ashamed to say. But hey, I was 11 and all the kids who I thought were cool were doing it so naturally, I followed suit. I think Theo did it on The Cosby Show and that was what cemented things in my mind that this was something I must do. So I got myself a pair of white denim overall shorts at Caldor (yes, Caldor...which is another topic entirely) and I wore them with the one strap down. Oh man...why am I admitting all this? I honestly do not know. But yes, I did it, all of it...One strap down on my overalls, Caldor, all of it!!!
Some things should just remain in the past, let's leave it at that.

My mom used to work at Caldor back in the day - every Christmas present was from Caldor ...
Hahaha...that's great, Caldor was the jam back in the day. I got all my back to school supplies there when I was in elementary school and all my junky makeup there in junior high. It was Sort of like an old school Target. I'm sure a ton of my Christmas and Birthday presents came from Caldor as well!
